The photos in these galleries have all been resized in
Photoshop
from the camera's 1600 x 1200 pixels down to 400 x 300 pixels
(1/16th of their original area) to save bandwidth. They have also
undergone some simple levels adjustment and sharpening.

Camera
The Nikon Coolpix 700
that I bought in June 1999 (and still use) has been supplanted
in the marketplace by the Coolpix 800, which features
a 2:1 optical zoom rather than the pointless digital zoom on the 700.
Otherwise, I love the 700.
If I were buying a camera today, I'd
get the 990. If you were buying one for me, I'd ask for the D1.
